Mobile Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £45k DOE
Pareto are currently looking for a Mobile Engineer to join us on a permanent basis across our business.
We are looking for vibrant, enthusiastic candidates who are customer-focused and willing to take ownership of problems until resolution.
The ideal candidate should be a team player who goes above and beyond to achieve goals. A travel card will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility for timely completion of all maintenance and reactive tasks associated with client assets, being the first line of response for all M&E and Fabric issues.
* Conduct regular and periodic inspections to maintain the efficiency and safety of M&E installations, including fire safety, firefighting equipment, and security systems. Liaise with client staff over specific requirements.
* Maintain records and computer-based record management systems to agreed standards, including statutory testing, technical records, files, diaries, drawings, and reports.
* Perform necessary maintenance on M&E services and installations, including electrical systems, heating, hot water installations, fire alarms, and security systems.
* Ensure works are completed to standard, meet budget constraints, and satisfy key client requirements, reporting back to the Pareto FM Account Manager and client liaison at regular intervals.
Support arrangements for subcontractors to undertake routine and emergency maintenance, both in and out of hours.
* Assist the client in setting maintenance priorities, forward programmes, and budgets.
* Help prepare delegated planned maintenance projects, including schedules, specifications, and order placements. Audit and supervise works on completion.
* Provide technical M&E advice and support to the client as requested.
* Liaise with other professionals on project work and contribute site and maintenance information as needed.
* Collaborate with the client and Pareto FM staff to develop and share national best practices in M&E maintenance and procedures.
* Participate in site and property teams, providing technical input in areas such as security, health and safety, risk assessments, and utility infrastructures.
Work with the client to ensure effective implementation of the Asset Management Plan to guide planning and management of works across the estate.
* Perform other related tasks as directed by the client and Pareto FM Account Manager.
* Act as the primary contact for the client when issues arise.
* Be adaptable to a variety of workplace tasks to support the client's business continuity requirements.
Key Skills:
* In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles and systems.
* Previous experience as a Building Services Engineer.
* Ability to work unsupervised to a high standard.
* Relevant qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
