Lickey ward is looking to recruit staff nurses and we have a variety of hours available including full and part time.
Our wards are predominantly Nurse and Therapy led allowing our passionate RNs to exercise their clinical practice alongside developing management and leadership skills in a friendly, dynamic and supportive environment.

Main duties of the job
As a Staff Nurse you will be responsible for providing care to people admitted to our ward for rehabilitation, working to uphold the highest standards. We work closely as a multi-disciplinary team. Our focus is promoting the comfort and wellbeing of patients, enabling them to live as independently as possible. This is a small but friendly team to work with. As a team we encourage ongoing learning and development through reflection and clinical supervision which we try and embed in our daily practice. Our nurses are required to facilitate the day to day running of the ward, administering medications, working alongside all members of the MDT as well as patients, their families and carers to provide 24/7 rehabilitation to enable the highest level of independence and quality of life. Our nurses are required to attend meetings as needed such as MDT and CHC or Discharge Planning.

Knowledge
Essential
* Confidence to teach student nurses, patients, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Understanding of evidence-based nursing, multidisciplinary working, clinical governance.
* Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development.
Desirable
* Rehabilitation practice, nursing care relevant to stroke, Parkinson's, Diabetes.
* Knowledge and understanding of Mental Capacity and DOLs.
Experience

* Experience gained during pre-registration training.
