We are seeking several dedicated and experienced Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner's to join 4 of our local Delivery Teams - Tees Valley, North Cumbria, Northumberland & North Tyneside, Sunderland & South Tyneside. Main duties of the job The Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner is a valued member of the Safeguarding Team that sits within the wider Nursing and Quality teams in the (NENC ICB). The role will report to the Deputy Designated Nurse and work closely with all members of the Safeguarding Team to ensure that NENC ICB: Meet their children, adults and children cared for statutory duties and responsibilities as outlined in the NHS Accountability and Assurance framework. Embed effective high quality safeguarding practice. Improve clinical standards and performance. The postholder will assist with the continuous quality improvement of safeguarding systems and processes, assist in the development of policies, procedures and guidance, support the delivery of safeguarding training, provide specialist information, support, advice and supervision. Support assurance and audit and provide specialist input to safeguarding investigations and reviews. The postholder is a specialist clinician in all age safeguarding (children, adults and cared for children) and will work closely with a wide range of NHS clinicians including CHC staff, named nurses and primary care.
