As a Project Manager in SYSTRA you will be able to demonstrate strong Portfolio and Relationship management experience as well as being responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the agreed budget, timeframe, and scope. You will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant Stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Responsibilities
1. Monitor project deliverables
2. Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress
3. Actively liaise and engage with project team members to provide appropriate support to projects and bids.
4. Undertake a contract review prior to project start up.
5. Proactively review, identify, and resolve any problems in project delivery, including anticipated problems as well as over-spend and late delivery.
6. Provide leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
7. Regularly review project costs and raise invoices.
8. Ensure project change control procedures are adhered to, established, and change control is proactively managed.
9. Work closely with the project team to ensure client requirements are properly interpreted and reflected in the deliverables.
10. Assist in any negotiations, disputes, arbitration (if and where required).
11. Provide mentorship, motivation and coaching to junior team members in function and within projects.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
2. Strong business acumen in project planning and management
3. Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
4. Relevant experience managing multiple, major and/or complex high-risk project(s).
5. Membership of The Association for Project Management and/or membership of a relevant professional institution and/or relevant demonstrable experience.
6. Understands the interfaces of multiple related projects to ensure the overall programme is aligned and supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
7. Proficient use of software programs, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and ProjectWise.
8. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
9. Interpersonal skills to influence and engage change, promote delivery, and enhance performance within the project team(s).
