Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Officer
Fixed Term Contract for 12 months - 22 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to be part of our Safer Communities team.
This will be a brand-new role and the post holder will be responsible for developing partnership working and administration of the Safer Communities team. You will be responsible for addressing and tackling Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Environmental Crime within the Melton Borough, ensuring effective communication, support and assistance to our residents and stakeholders.
Responsibilities include managing a case load of ASB and Environmental Crime cases up to and including taking legal action whilst ensuring a victim-centred approach. You will work closely with our internal and external partners, ensuring a multiagency approach.
Participate in the management and development of community safety work and contribute towards the delivery of the Safer Melton Partnerships (SMP) objectives.
About You
The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to create meaningful and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring community engagement with issues and identifying solutions to current challenges. You will be driven and motivated with an eye for detail, a team player, confident to work independently, and have a flexible attitude to working under pressure. We seek an individual with a positive outlook and a desire to deliver a quality service to the community we serve.
A thorough working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications is essential, with excellent proficiency in Excel and databases. You should be able to produce detailed reports and maintain electronic information systems in accordance with data protection regulations. A working knowledge and understanding of community safety issues would be advantageous.
