A bit about the role We are now seeking a Childcare Worker to help us continue to deliver an excellent service in our Sunshine Flying Start Nursery located in Caerphilly. This is an entry level role where you don't need previous experience or qualifications, we’re looking for a positive attitude and the desire to give the best care to children. This is a great opportunity to get your ‘foot in the door’ and allows you to explore the field of Childcare and decide if it’s the right fit for you, whilst gaining practical experience. Our Nursery provides an innovative curiosity approach to children’s development, with open access to outside areas for children to explore and discover, as well as accessing our newly refurbished sensory room to help children develop and engage their senses. As a Childcare worker, you’ll provide care for our afternoon sessions (up to 8 children with complex needs) and help create play plans for each child. Working hours for this role will be 14:00 – 15:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and 12.40-15:25 Thursday, Friday. How you'll help to create brighter futures Working as part of a team to create a rich and stimulating play environment that promotes children's development and encourages them to explore and discover. Working closely with parents to develop an inclusive and open relationship that engages them in their children's learning and development. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess children's development needs and implement appropriate support Being committed to continuing professional development, embracing learning opportunities and promoting best practice. Documenting and updating case files on the progression of young people Ensuring Safeguarding policies and procedures are in place throughout the service Let's talk about you Level 3 Qualification in Childrens Care, Learning and Development or recognised equivalent (desirable but not essential) Experience of volunteering or working within a Childcare setting Understanding of Child development Knowledge and understanding of CIW requirements and current relevant legislation (desirable but not essential) Experience of record keeping on the development and progress of children (desirable but not essential) Good to know Application Process Please note we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
