Environment : Developing and enforcing environmental policies to minimise the company's ecological footprint. This includes waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives. As a SHE Compliance Advisor, you will contribute to creating a safer, healthier, and more sustainable work environment, enhancing productivity and corporate reputation. Our client's SHE team consists of twelve professionals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, collaborating on workplace safety, health, and environmental initiatives. Their efforts significantly boost our client's overall efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the development, maintenance, and delivery of the SHE Integrated Management System across the UK business, ensuring compliance with corporate SHE requirements and ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. Liaise with site SHE Advisors to assist in the implementation of SHE management systems across the business. Promote SHE awareness to foster health consciousness and a proactive safety culture. Develop an annual audit program and conduct periodic audits of the SHE management system to ensure effectiveness and compliance. Monitor and audit operational risk management and mitigation related to SHE, setting targets and identifying areas for improvement. Maintain and update the legal register, identifying any impacts on the SHE management system. Support DSEAR, fire risk assessments, and corporate risk assessments, ensuring the implementation of any necessary actions. Develop and implement a SHE training program in collaboration with the L&D department, addressing risk and training needs analysis. Contribute to and drive the SHE training program and training matrix to meet business and risk requirements. Write and update SHE-related training materials and presentations, ensuring compliance with legislation and developing new training content as needed. What do you need?: Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management (preferred) Membership in a relevant professional body (Grad IOSH, PIEMA) Experience in a similar role and qualification as an internal auditor or lead auditor Broad understanding of manufacturing and laboratory technologies Knowledge of SHE legislation and its application and interpretation relevant to our client's operations Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels within the organisation Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into easily understandable text Knowledge and understanding of DSEAR and fire risk assessments Train the trainer qualification Proficiency in writing and delivering SHE training effectively What happens now?
