Mechanical + Electrical Maintenance Engineer\n\n4 day shifts\n\nSalary: £(phone number removed) per annum\n\nOur client is urgently seeking a multi-skilled mechanical and electrical engineer to join their team in the South Newcastle area, working on a 4-day shift pattern. Ideally you will have experience within a facilities management environment.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Perform planned maintenance with an emphasis on proactive issue detection.\n\n * Quickly address breakdowns and conduct efficient corrective maintenance.\n\n * Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in various equipment.\n\n * Record work and parts data on the WMS system.\n\n * Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.\n\n * Maintain professionalism in all customer interactions.\n\n * Consistently meet and exceed contract SLAs.\n\n * Provide support to other technicians and shifts as required.\n\n * Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Completed time-served apprenticeship or equivalent training.\n\n * Hold City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or higher in a mechanical or electrical discipline.\n\n * Previous experience in FMCG manufacturing or automated warehousing (preferred).\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a full airside pass.\n\n * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.\n\n * Proficiency with computer systems, including CMMS.\n\n * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.\n\n * Strong planning and prioritization skills, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and open to overtime.\n\n * Professional appearance and respectful demeanor.\n\n * Desirable skills: 18th edition, ONC/HNC, multiskilled, PLC and diagnostics experience, and experience in training/coaching
