The Business Analysis Manager is responsible for building and leading a team of Business Analysts who ensure that the Southern Water’s IT systems and business processes support business objectives to enhance the quality and effectiveness of services provided to our customers. You will be setting and evolving the working practices, standards and quality of business analysis for Southern Water – ensuring alignment with industry best practices and creating a culture of Continuous Improvement. You will play a leading role in the definition, mobilisation and embedding of BA communities along with overseeing and assuring the quality of the Business Analysis products. You will serve as a strategic partner, advocating for the business analysis discipline, supporting professional growth, and driving impactful business solutions. Your responsibilities are to include: Lead, mentor, advise and manage a team of business analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, define objectives, and align solutions with organisational goals. Analyse and optimise the business analysis processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding. Monitor project performance and provide insights for continuous improvement. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions. Represent the BA community and act be a representative at business strategy meetings. Lead the transition from Waterfall to hybrid (agile/waterfall) methodologies including preparation for scrum based workstreams. Observe and improve professional competencies, develop the team, for the team. Setting frameworks and standards for the BA community to work to. Skills and experience needed: Relevant Business Analysis qualification e.g. BCS Business Analysis Diploma or CBAP certified Excellent communication skills at all levels. Strong stakeholder management and influence. Workshop organisation and facilitation skills. Analysing and interpreting data and creating insights from data. Line management of a team, including mentoring and career development. Demonstrable track record of successful delivery in a BA environment and extensive experience working within all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for both Agile and Waterfall.
