Job Title: Project Controller, Source to Pay
Location: Frimley, Portsmouth, Glasgow, Preston or Bristol. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £52,000 + depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Being accountable as a member of the Project Control community for leading development and implementation of Project Control practices within the specialism.
* Ensuring processes and/or toolsets governed and implemented appropriately and are fit for purpose.
* Managing the Project Control processes on the Source 2 Pay “S2P” project lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met and that financial and other benefits are achieved.
* Identifying, assessing and managing risks to the success of the project applying expert knowledge and experience. Applies appropriate Project Control methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
* Agreeing Project Control approach with the S2P Programme Manager and stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Experienced in Project Control demonstrated in a professional capacity and the specialist skills to ensure procedures are followed with the ability to define the standards which others will operate. Guides others in application of Project Control processes.
* Expert understanding of their specialism and comprehensive understanding of one or more Project Control tools techniques and practice.
* Experience of influencing stakeholders both inside and outside the company to advance self-knowledge.
* Applies problem-solving techniques to situations of moderate complexity in the field of Project Control, taking requirements and data from internal (project) sources and external (customer, competitor and academic) areas.
* You will have some knowledge in one or more areas of Project Control practice and be expected to be able to adapt and apply these practices in different circumstances and to develop these practices for the S2P Programme.
Desirable:
* PM Qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification or another appropriate PM professional body.

The Head Office Supply Chain team:
This is an opportunity for you to work on a number of strategic projects across BAE which are high profile, through providing Project Controller capability within Supply Chain & lead on Project Controller activities.
You will be able to demonstrate your skill set to a wide stakeholder network through involvement in the strategic improvement programme within this area.
