The Role:
The role of Accounts Assistant, will work closely with the wider Finance team and be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and bank transactions, keeping the school's financial records up to date.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant will include but not be limited to:
1. Managing all invoices: coding and inputting invoices onto the finance system, ensuring all invoices are paid within agreed payment terms, matching invoices to purchase orders etc.
2. Reviewing and processing all staff expenses and school credit cards.
3. Monitoring the ledger to ensure no aged open items or debit balances.
4. Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts.
5. Supporting the Finance Director with other finance tasks as required.
Your Profile:
6. Prior experience in a similar position, with a good understanding of accounts payable & finance processes is essential for this role.
7. An exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
9. Strong interpersonal skills, able to manage relationships both internally and externally.
10. Previous experience working in education would be a bonus but isn't essential.
Salary & Benefits:
The salary on offer is between £25-28k plus benefits including a generous pension scheme, free school lunches and free on-site parking.
