Job Title: Director of Catering
As our Director of Catering, your focus is to work closely with your teams to develop a great working relationship and collectively provide the best customer service.
To succeed, you should have excellent presentation, organisational, and communication skills, demonstrate a genuine passion for food & service, and possess enthusiasm.
1. Collaborate with the back of house team to develop well-balanced, nutritious menus catering to diverse dietary requirements and preferences.
2. Manage the catering budget to ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
3. Build strong relationships with school Bursars, Head Teachers, and faculty.
4. Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate catering staff.
5. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols.
6. Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
7. Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a senior Director of Catering in a high-volume, quality-focused environment.
* Experience in managing, training, and supporting teams.
* Financial acumen, including budget creation and performance management.
* Excellent coaching, delegation, and influencing skills.
* Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, creative environment.
* Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Solution-oriented mindset to adapt to challenges and opportunities.
