Role The Mechanical Engineer will be part of the Defence and Space division, focusing on the design, manufacturing, and testing of payloads and spacecraft. This role involves supporting assembly, integration, alignment, and testing activities in clean room environments. The engineer will also be responsible for manufacturing engineering activities, procurement processes, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements. Responsibilities Prepare and release mechanical and alignment procedures for spacecraft and subsystems. Specify, design, and procure Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for integration and testing. Support or lead technical activities in clean room environments, ensuring safety and quality compliance. Manage purchase orders and oversee procurement processes, including supplier communication. Input relevant data into SAP to support flight activities and maintain traceability documentation. Conduct inspections of kit preparation processes in the clean room. Document integration procedures (As-runs) and prepare anomaly and investigation reports. Provide feedback on lessons learned and propose improvements related to safety, quality, planning, and cost. Required Experience Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related field. Experience in production or a similar aerospace industry role preferred. Knowledge of the space industry and its specific requirements. Familiarity with procurement processes and hardware reception procedures. Experience working in clean room environments and adhering to safety and quality standards. Required Skills Strong understanding of general mechanics and physical measurements. Proficiency in three-dimensional measurement techniques and tools. Familiarity with SAP, Clik&Buy, and MySupply systems. Technical rigor and autonomy in executing engineering tasks. Effective communication skills in French (negotiation level) and English (intermediate level). IT skills, particularly in 3DExperience software. ADZN1_UKTJ
