Job Overview
We are delighted to announce that we have a vacancy for a Practice Based Educator to join the Surgery nursing team at Wythenshawe Hospital, covering both elective and emergency admission wards. The successful candidate will be expected to cover ENT, general surgery, urology, breast, and maxillofacial specialties. A candidate with altered airway skills is desirable but not essential.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our nursing team. Are you a Registered Nurse with evidence of teaching, have two years post-registration experience, and a portfolio of evidence demonstrating achievements in practice/education?
Main Duties of the Job
We are looking for a charismatic and engaging individual who can connect with clinical nursing teams at all levels and support cultural/behavioural changes within teams to ensure improvements in the delivery of the best possible patient experience.
A large part of the role will be clinically focused ward-based training, as well as contributing to the wider education programme. A component of the role will also include working clinically within the team to maintain clinical credibility and understand the nursing environment that you are providing your educational services to. This is an ideal opportunity to step outside of a ward/department-based role and use your experience, knowledge, and skills to contribute to the development of a strong and quality-focused workforce for the future.
As well as the opportunity to develop personally and professionally within the team, you’ll have the chance to use your creative skills in delivering training and education. You’ll be supported through an annual appraisal and personal development planning.
