Regional Facilities and Maintenance Operative Location: Across Lancashire – covering all six Active Pathways services and Evermore Care Homes sites in Chorley, Bamber Bridge, Fulwood, and Lancaster. We are looking for a quality-focused and highly motivated maintenance person to join our team across our four mental health services and two care homes operated by our sister company, Evermore Care Homes - all based across Lancashire. You will help us provide the best environment for our service users and colleagues, by ensuring our buildings and grounds are maintained in safe, high quality, operational condition at all times. You will carry out the day-to-day maintenance on all aspects of our communal areas, residential rooms, and our grounds so our services are maintained in line with our high standards. As part of this role, you will be accountable for conducting all operational checks across the sites to ensure we are meeting Health and Safety and Fire Regulations, adhering to professional standards, and following Company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements provided by the Care Quality Commissioning Group. You will be responsible for ensuring all equipment performs at optimum functionality including the heating, plumbing, and security, overseeing external contractors to support this where required, alongside looking after the upkeep of the gardens and external landscape. You will have general multi-skilled experience and understanding of maintenance from minor electrical, plumbing, and joinery work and ideally have experience working within a similar environment along with a good understanding of central heating systems, laundry equipment, and hot and cold-water systems. You will be flexible and adaptable with a can-do enthusiastic approach. The ability to prioritise and multitask are essential requirements of the role, as are excellent customer service skills and the desire to make a difference to people's lives by providing the best possible internal and external environments for our service users. Whilst you will part of a small Facilities and Maintenance team, and on occasion travelling to support the Facilities and Maintenance Operative working over in our Yorkshire Region. This will be planned and agreed with you in advance to ensure this is manageable for both your own workload and personally.
