Engineering Stores
Location: Bradford, permanent role. Immediate start, early finish on Fridays, great working environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer, welder, fabricator, or fitter who is looking for a role off the tools to move into a stores role. The role will support the company's manufacturing activities across stores, stock control, goods in quality, and dispatch areas.
We seek a candidate who can read drawings and has a confident understanding of materials and engineering components to ensure that the engineers are supplied correctly.
The role in Engineering Stores will include:
1. Being responsible for providing engineers on the shop floor with all the components they need to produce assemblies on time.
2. Carry out goods inward inspection for all component parts entering the company ensuring compliance to design specifications and contractual requirements.
3. Control defective items via segregation from good product.
4. Identify and record any non-conformances to specification requirements.
5. Unpack and check deliveries against delivery paperwork.
6. Identify and prioritise key deliveries and dispatch them to the relevant areas of the business.
7. Stock control using the MRP system and locating stock in stores.
8. Undertake purchasing, repair, maintenance, manufacturing, test, and installation tasks as requested.
9. Continuously monitor fast-moving consumables and re-order for stock.
10. Highlight and resolve any variance between orders and deliveries.
11. Support different areas of the business with logistic arrangements for dispatch items.
12. Accurate and timely completion of internal product documentation.
13. Load, inspect, and dispatch all finished goods.
The person:
1. You will have worked in an engineering environment previously, ideally in a fabrication or fitter capacity and recognize engineering components and materials.
2. Hold a counterbalance FLT.
3. Be able to read engineering drawings.
4. Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
5. Experience in a fast-moving engineering or similar stores environment.
6. Enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with a desire to learn.
7. Ability to work under own direction and monitor own workload.
8. Ability to diligently follow work procedures and practices.
9. Numerate and literate.
10. IT literate.
