New Build Contracts Manager
Company: Bespoke New Build client
Location: Based near Horsham, covering primarily the South East
Package: Up to £45,000 per annum plus company vehicle, pension, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
About the Company:
My client is one of the UK's largest designers and manufacturers of energy-efficient, bespoke homes. They're seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee New Build Home installations, ensuring quality and efficiency across multiple live projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regular site visits to monitor shell erection progress
2. Inducting operatives on-site and ensuring all necessary documents and requirements are in place
3. Sourcing high-quality shell teams and obtaining competitive quotes
4. Ensuring company quality standards are met
5. Providing clear directions to subcontractors and monitoring their work quality
6. Attending site meetings and documenting progress and variances
7. Liaising regularly with customers and builders to meet their expectations
8. Ensuring site work adheres to agreed HSE standards, including scaffold, slab, and crane lift plans
9. Maintaining quality standards to ensure site handover meets contract specifications
10. Collaborating with the wider team through regular office visits
About You:
1. Full driving licence is essential
2. Contract management experience in Property Development (bespoke Timber projects would be ideal)
3. Ability to manage and motivate operatives in a site environment
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
5. Flexible and adaptable to change
6. Proficient in writing clear and concise reports, identifying labour, delivery, plant requirements, and programme variances
