Our Community Safety team provides a highly visible and responsive Community Safety service in partnership with the community to contribute to a safe and secure lifestyle and sustainable city.
About the Position
The City of Stirling is looking for a highly organised and efficient Business Support Officer to provide crucial administrative support to the Community Safety team.
There are two positions which are full-time, maximum term one until November 2025 and the other to May 2026 to cover leave.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Business Support Officer will include but are not limited to:
1. Administration for the Community Safety Business Unit ensuring that high quality customer service is delivered to the City’s internal and external customers with a focus on continuous improvement.
2. Delivering high quality customer service and support to the City’s internal and external customers.
3. Processing all enquiries and correspondence, escalating complex matters to the Team Leader Business Support.
4. Processing infringements and infringements reviews by updating the City’s core systems, and replying to relevant correspondence including appeal acknowledgement, documentation for referral to the Fines Enforcement Registry, and for court prosecutions.
5. Updating and maintaining appropriate records, ensuring all documents are appropriately registered.
About You

1. Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external customers including effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
2. Demonstrated ability to problem solve focusing on a favourable solution to meet customer needs.
3. Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks and coordinate conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
4. Demonstrated experience in administration, finance, contract administration and project management.
5. Ability to interpret and apply State and Local Laws and Codes, relevant Acts and Local Government Act.

This temporary full-time position is a Level 5 Inside Workforce Agreement position which attracts a salary from $77,514.91 – $81,597.55 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have the ability to obtain a:
1. A copy of Australian driving licence
2. National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
3. Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
4. The right to work in Australia
