Role Responsibilities
Working in collaboration with the Commercialisation Manager, you will support the development of engagement with industry, generation of income for the University and University staff and create economic impact from university activities.
You will provide comprehensive support and development for all commercial projects, contributing to the strategic objectives of the university and specific faculty objectives working with a range of stakeholders within the University and with external businesses, project partners and funders.
You will support with project identification, commercial due diligence, assessing proof of concept projects and commercialisation activities.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for someone with a high level of emotional intelligence who has the ability to develop strong working relationships with staff at all levels across the University to ensure quality service delivery, demonstrating political awareness, diplomacy and tact. You will have:
1. Demonstrable commercial experience in an HE environment.
2. Experience of providing project support for complex projects especially in relation to commercial projects.
3. Experience with providing support to commercial activities with multiple stakeholders.
4. Experience of supporting commercial projects through the entire project lifecycle.
5. Experience of running financial systems/monitoring/administering project records (either financial or non-financial).
6. Knowledge of IP management and formal IP protection.
7. The ability to identify, assess and understand potential risk to project delivery and propose solutions.
