Westfield Primary School are seeking to appoint two dedicated, efficient after school club supervisors to join our new wraparound provision. The working hours will be 3.15-6pm Monday to Friday term time only, 13.75 hours per week. - Fixed term until 20 July 2026 Duties will be varied and will involve running play activities; administering first aid; working closely with other school staff; cleaning duties and some administrative tasks. You must enjoy working with primary age children, be self-motivated and possess the ability to provide creative play activities in a safe, caring environment. Recent experience of working with children is required as is a willingness to undertake training related to the role. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to develop effective relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community and must be highly motivated and committed to providing the highest level of service. Provide quality play care within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures. JOB PROFILE Planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment. Providing comprehensive care for the children. Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met. This will include toileting, hand washing, cleaning spillages, insisting on and modelling good table manners. Administering first aid when necessary. Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities. When necessary, providing support and other staff, including volunteers. Administration and record keeping, of club registers, purchasing items for snack from the School Fund petty cash. Developing and maintaining good communication with all staff members and parents. Undertaking and renewing appropriate and relevant training. (First Aid, Food Hygiene and any other relevant certificates) Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment. Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures. Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils Promote a positive ethos and role model positive attributes, self-esteem and independence. Provide pastoral support to pupils.
