Job Title: Sentinam Programme - Programme Controller - Submarines
Working Pattern: 37 hours days
Working Location: Raynesway Derby
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Programme Controller on the Sentinam Programme for RR Submarines Ltd. The successful applicant will help strengthen our project management skills, ensuring we successfully deliver a programme of work that re-establishes a pump engineering sovereign capability.
In this key position, you will take responsibility for the control and delivery of appropriately complex packages of work or aspects of project portfolios. Monitor, review and report the status of projects/project portfolios in accordance with the requirements defined in the Project Management Plan and agreed with the Programme Manager.
What you will be doing
You will be accountable for the effective and successful delivery to cost, specification, and time for a defined package of work, establishing, developing, and maintaining the documentation necessary to deliver the package of work.
* Coordinate the meetings for the change management process for the work packages in the Sentinam Programme including Programme/Product Change Boards (PCB).
* Coordination of US/UK activities with the central US/UK team.
* Ensure effective controls are implemented in accordance with the company management procedures.
* Report the status of projects/project portfolios in accordance with the requirements of the project.
* Managing the Standard Diary for the Sentinam Programme to comply with the Apply reporting cycle.
* Be the programme's contact with the central PMO office to ensure all the latest PM processes are being incorporated and followed by the Programme Team.
* Report variances to project baseline and report project Key Performance Indicators, review project data, identify and report trends, highlight anomalies and propose corrective action if performance is outside specification.
* Coordinate the formation and finessing of the programme reporting packs following the company defined standards.

* Experience of Project management and planning and control activities and ideally, project management qualification e.g. APM, Agile etc.
* Knowledge/experience of SAP, Coupa and Primavera P6 is required.
* Experience of Estimating, Forecasting and Change Control.
* Strong planning and organisational skills to manage short, medium- and long-term activities and deliverables.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business.
