About the Role
We are looking for a Finance and Operations Assistant to join our client’s team in Bury St Edmunds. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the finance function while also assisting with office operations. You will be working closely with the CFO, Group Finance Manager, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth financial processes and efficient office administration.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Duties:
* Setting up new customers on relevant systems (QuickBooks, Maxio, HubSpot, etc.)
* Issuing sales invoices and customer statements
* Credit control and debtor management
* Handling customer queries and matching payments
* Assisting with finance-related analysis and ad hoc tasks
* Providing holiday cover for finance team members
Office Support Duties:
* Supporting the CFO and Group Finance Manager with Health & Safety compliance
* Assisting with contract management for the sales team
* Providing administrative support for annual leave and short-term absences
* Helping coordinate office get-togethers and social activities
What We’re Looking For
Experience in finance, office management, or administration
Knowledge of accounting systems and creditors
Familiarity with Google Spreadsheets (advantageous)
