After closing a €12M seed round in November 2023 from leading investors including Motive Ventures (backed by Apollo), Stride.VC, and SeedCamp, we’ve embarked on significant expansion in 2024, including more than doubled the size of the team and acquiring Ikory Asset Management with €500 million AUM. The opportunity: You will be joining as the first Finance hire and fully own the finance department. You bring at least 10 years of experience and you’re ambitious in accelerating your career growth. You report directly to our Founder/CEO. Key responsibilities: Own all aspects of financial management, including management accounting as well as strategic finance such as budgeting and forecast. Work with our external accountant on financial controls, payroll and tax to ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and closing per GAAP. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally with our commercial and tech team to drive process improvements and efficiencies. Lead the preparation and presentation of financial performance and projections to the leadership team and the board. Continuously explore ways to improve and review our financial strategy. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances and opportunities. Support in negotiations of new contracts with finance partners of external stakeholders. Required qualifications: 10 years of experience with 5 years in accounting or finance roles. Fluency in English; Upper-interdemiate French with B2 or above qualification or equivalent. You will be required to read and prepare French accounts and communicate with external accountants in France. Excellent Excel or G-Suite skills. Good understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements in the UK. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, safeguard and influence decision-making. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively. Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and drive continuous improvement. Nice-to-have: Knowledge of French GAAP. Experience in cross-country accounting in the EU. Exposure in software businesses, management consulting, investment banking or similar. Experience to accounting software and tools would be highly advantageous.
