Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cisco CCNA/CCNP Certified Field Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Norwich, you will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco networking infrastructure across various client sites in the region. Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide on-site technical support, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient service restoration.
3. Conduct network diagnostics, upgrades, and performance tuning to enhance system reliability.
4. Collaborate with clients to assess networking needs and deliver tailored solutions.
5. Document all work performed, including issue resolution, configurations, and project updates.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cisco technologies and industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. CCNA or CCNP Certification (active certification preferred).
2. Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
3. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and network protocols.
4. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues both remotely and on-site.
5. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and diagnostic equipment.
6. Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
7. Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites within Norwich and surrounding areas.
