As the Senior Clinical Lead at Athena Care Homes, you will be responsible for leading on all aspects of clinical care at Athena to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes are delivered for the residents in our care.

About the role:
The Senior Clinical Lead will be responsible for leading on the clinical development of the team members within our care homes by reviewing trends, organizing clinical training, and coaching and developing our team to deliver our vision of being the first choice for high-quality dementia, nursing, and residential care, leaving a positive legacy within our communities.
Salary:
Competitive depending on skills and experience.
Shift Pattern:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with 1-in-6 weekends as part of the on-call rota.
Location:
Your base location will be your nearest care home.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred care in line with Athena’s policies and procedures.
* Provide clinical guidance, support, and training to nursing and care teams to ensure effective practice and high standards.
* Act as a role model for clinical best practices and provide expert advice on clinical issues.
* Participate in internal and external audits and inspections and take corrective actions where necessary.
* Work closely with a fantastic regional team to support our Home Managers.
Training, Skills & Experience Required:
* Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration (Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disabilities).
* A strong clinical background with extensive post-registration clinical experience in a senior or leadership role.
* Experience in a care home or similar healthcare setting, with a deep understanding of CQC regulations and clinical care standards.
* Demonstrable experience of leading teams, managing people, and delivering clinical education.
* Strong clinical skills in areas such as wound care, dementia care, end-of-life care, and medication management.
