Ourclient is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers tojoin their team in Middlesborough and surrounding areas. You willplay a crucial role in providing highquality care and support toindividuals with learning disabilities autism epilepsy and thoserequiring spinal and bowel care. This role offers a rewardingopportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerableindividuals by promoting their independence dignity and quality oflife.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Provide direct care and support to individuals with learningdisabilities autism epilepsy and those requiring spinal and bowelcare.
* Assist with daily living activitiesincluding personal care meal preparation medication administrationand mobility support.
* Implement and followpersonalised care plans to meet the specific needs of each serviceuser.
* Support individuals in participating incommunity activities and social events encouraging engagement andsocial interaction.
* Monitor and report on thehealth and wellbeing of individuals ensuring any changes arecommunicated promptly to the appropriate healthcareprofessionals.
* Maintain accurate and uptodaterecords of care provided and any incidents orobservations.
* Work collaboratively with amultidisciplinary team including healthcare professionals familymembers and other support staff.
* Uphold thedignity privacy and rights of all individuals promoting apersoncentred approach to care.
* Ensurecompliance with all relevant policies procedures and regulationsincluding safeguarding and health and safetyguidelines.
Qualifications andExperience:
* Minimumof 6 months experience in a similar role providing care and supportto individuals with learning disabilities autism epilepsy and thoserequiring spinal and bowel care.
* Experienceand training in learning disability autism epilepsy andspinal/bowel care are essential.
* Acompassionate and empathetic approach with a strong commitment toproviding highquality care.
* Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to buildpositive relationships with service users families andcolleagues.
* Ability to work independently andas part of a team demonstrating flexibility andadaptability.
* Strong organisational skillswith the ability to manage multiple tasks andpriorities.
