Our friendly team consists of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 1 Head Veterinary Nurse, 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, and 1 Animal Nursing Assistant who are supported by our wonderfully efficient Receptionists. If you are looking to join a super friendly team in an ideal location that is easily commutable from London, then this role is for you.
Rota Patterns that work for you
This is a part-time position of up to 24 hours per week, ideally working across Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. You will also be included in our Saturday rota (1 in 3 Saturdays) and in turn, you will receive time off in lieu the following week (there is no OOH).
However, we know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, we can find the right solution for you.
Explore Our RCVS Accredited Practice
We are an RCVS accredited, established practice with easy access to Dartford town centre and London (we are also located opposite a busy retail park so it’s great for lunches or a quick shop before or after work). There is free parking and on arriving at our practice, you will be greeted by our light and open waiting room. Adjoining the waiting room, we have 3 dedicated consult rooms which lead directly onto our open plan preparation area. Our separate theatre is well equipped and provides a dedicated space for sterile procedures to be carried out. In addition to all of this, the practice also has a designated space for diagnostic imagery & dentistry.
Want to know about the fantastic facilities available? To name but a few, our team have access to ultrasound, multiparameter, ECG, in-house lab including microscope, digital x-ray, dentistry & doppler.
If you wish to speak with someone from the practice, do let us know as we can facilitate this.
What will the role involve?
Our Registered Veterinary Nurses are the absolute backbone of our practice and generally have a hand in most areas of the day to day which include carrying out schedule 3 procedures (subject to appropriate training), anaesthesia monitoring, scrubbing in, looking after our inpatient care, carrying out various types of nurse clinics, completing laboratory duties, and much more. There will also be some reception duties when needed such as taking telephone calls/inpatient enquiries, stock control, and ordering and unpacking orders.
