Assembly Team Leader, £15 - 16 an hr, (circa £30,500 - £32,500) 39 hours a week, private medical insurance, life assurance, company bonus, 25 days holiday plus BH, permanent position.

The company is a market-leading vehicle-building company, and due to growth within the business, they require a team leader to support their continued growth in the sub-assembly department. The sub-assembly department builds metal cabinets and drawers that are then fitted into the vehicles. The role involves leading a team of 6 people in a clean and organised area, and this position has become available due to an internal promotion within the company.
The position would suit individuals with experience leading or supervising teams in a fast-paced assembly manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Assembly Team Leader:
* Organise the day-to-day duties of your team.
* Oversee that the workload of each team member contributes to the overall goal of the team.
* Ensure that the booking of production hours is performed correctly.
* Identify and rectify any problems that may arise.
* Escalate issues to front-line management if necessary.
* Coordinate the work of the team with other departments to ensure efficiency.
* Anticipate future build requirements and ensure sufficient consumables and 'Bought for Job' parts are available.
* Attend daily Gemba walks and actively update the workshop job boards.
* Participate in prebuild meetings as required.

Key Requirements of the Vehicle Builder (Team Leader) Role:
* Relevant previous experience in a team leader or supervisor role.
* Self-motivated.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Good communication skills, both written and oral.
* The ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
* Good organisational skills.
* The ability to work and make decisions under pressure.
