We have an excellent new role within our Finance Team! Arriva Rail London are on the hunt for a Management Accountant. You will play a pivotal role in our financial team, working closely with the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to drive strategic and financial performance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:
* You will be responsible for processing invoices and credit notes accurately within agreed timelines, ensuring VAT compliance and proper reconciliation.
* Matching invoices to authorized orders, addressing discrepancies with budget holders, and ensuring adherence to procurement policies will all be key parts of this role.
* The Accounts Payable Clerk will also be responsible for responding to supplier queries professionally and maintaining strong working relationships.
* You will manage the period-end accounting process, including closing the purchase ledger and preparing reconciliations to the general ledger.
* Supplier checks for new setups will be another key part of this role, ensuring compliance with company policies and approval processes.
* You will oversee the utility invoices process, including database administration and re-billing accounts as needed.
* The Accounts Payable Clerk will also be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of weekly payment runs and monitoring budget holder approvals for invoices.
* You will reconcile supplier statements, addressing outstanding balances, and preparing reports on creditors and aged balances.
* Supporting and training employees on the electronic purchase order system (EPO) and Barclaycard procedures, the Accounts Payable Clerk will also be responsible for ensuring compliance and efficient use.
* You will also assist with ad hoc finance projects and liaising with Treasury on payment delays for unresolved supplier debts.
What we need from you:
* The Accounts Payable Clerk will need to be educated to A-Level or HNC standard with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, with knowledge of purchase ledger systems and processing.
* The ideal individual will have experience using Business Central is desirable with strong proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* You will need to have the proven ability to manage a small team and will need to be able to work under pressure.
* The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual, with excellent stakeholder management skills, and a good level of commercial awareness.
