Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity
This role is responsible for the maintenance of the QRM system which feeds critical business processes within Aldermore’s Finance and Treasury teams, such as interest rate risk management, liquidity regulatory reporting and forecasting, FTP and hedge accounting.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about, or develop your understanding, of the QRM system (widely used in the banking sector), and to help the Treasury team to further enhance and generate efficiencies across a wide range of financial risk management processes, whilst maintaining a strong control environment.
What will your day look like?
* Supporting the running of Daily & Monthly QRM automated processes involving failure root cause analysis and managing upstream relationships and Stakeholder communication.
* Supporting Changes to QRM automated processes involving provision of regression test data.
* Managing the QRM Database involving version control ensuring synchronisation across UAT and production environments.
* Supporting QRM Infrastructure involving investigating server outages / root cause analysis.
What do we expect from you
* 2-3 years in a Banking / Finance environment working with systems and data
* A self-starting team player who can take ownership, and proactively lead on driving improvement to existing processes
* Ability to read / write SQL and at least one programming language e.g. Python, VB at a basic level
* Basic understanding of the Windows operating system and cloud environments
* Appetite to investigate and resolve system issues e.g. bad data, failures, bad results (root cause analysis)
* Ability and desire to learn many skills / tools / ideas at a basic level
* Experience working with vendor products (but not necessarily specifically QRM)
* An interest, or post-degree training, in Finance / quant modelling (cash flows, yield curves)
* Pedantic attention to detail and methodical approach to executing and maintaining processes
* Demonstrated ability to clearly document processes in Word / Visio / PowerPoint
* Driven to deliver customer’s needs against SLAs to expected standards
