Job Description At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes. HPC is a vital part of the UK’s future energy strategy. As the first of the UK’s next generation of nuclear power stations, it is both of high profile and high complexity. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Turbine Programme, within the Conventional Island (CI) Area of HPC. As a Project Manager, you will provide leadership to ensure the effective delivery of activities in the programme to required safety, quality, time and cost targets, while recognising and managing the impacts of the programme on the wider Project. Your role will be to build strong relationships to ensure project success. HPC stands as a testament to innovative engineering, construction, and stellar leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with exceptional leadership qualities to guide this ambitious endeavour. Responsibilities: Driving the delivery of the contract or package activities to ensure they are delivered safely on time, to budget, meeting business & technical requirements. Developing and implementing strategies and plans in line with the overall programme execution plan (PEP), setting out how the programme of work will be managed, organised, and executed. Maintaining effective communications with all stakeholders and executing the project or PEP strategies within their contract or package of work. Monitoring and manage the progress of the programme - track progress against milestones, deadlines, budget and provide key stakeholders with reports on these matters. Anticipating, managing, and resolving issues within the contract or package. Identifying risks and facilitating the resolution of all issues raised, developing, and updating the programme budget, and escalating any issues to the Delivery Manager. Ensuring that lessons-learnt and knowledge-capture are practiced as business as usual. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all project team members.
