Group financial controller

Role Overview

* A leading B2B manufacturer, with £50mm turnover and growing
* Looking for a Group Financial Controller to lead the finance function - long term career opportunity and progressive path
* This is a number 1 Finance role across the group, reporting to the board.
* The long-term aim is for someone to develop and progress into group FD and partner the management team in their strategic growth plans
* This is a very hands-on role, requiring a candidate with a can-do attitude and a strong background in accountancy looking for the next long-term step in their career.
* Based in Essex
* Full time, permanent and on site. Mon - Thurs: 8.30 - 17:00 and Fri: 8.30 - 16.00
* Salary c. £110k; Pension; Car
* 25 days paid holiday plus public and bank holidays

Assignment Details

Take responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively

1. Leading and managing finance team of 4/5 in UK and oversight for European entities
2. Managing transactional team, overseeing and reviewing sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash posting, credit cards, expenses and all general ledger entries.
3. Responsibility for all Group Entities
4. Preparation of and review of consolidated Management Accounts
5. Stock valuation and reporting, including goods in transit, stock accrual and FX
