Supplying the retail and food service industry.About the RoleAs a Senior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our procurement team, working closely with the Head of Procurement to source products, negotiate the best deals, and ensure seamless supply chain operations. You'll be responsible for supplier management, pricing strategy, and category growth, while ensuring compliance with ethical sourcing policies.Key Responsibilities: * Product Sourcing – Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and lead-time efficiency. * Negotiation & Cost Control – Secure the best pricing, payment terms, and contracts from global suppliers. * Supply Chain & Logistics – Collaborate with logistics teams on imports, customs, and on-time deliveries. * Customer & Market Insight – Manage tenders, pricing updates, and market trends to drive commercial success. * Stakeholder Collaboration – Work with demand planning, operations, and sales teams to maintain stock levels and fulfil customer expectations. * Compliance & Documentation – Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure adherence to ethical sourcing policies. * Supplier Development – Research, engage, and introduce new suppliers to strengthen sourcing capabilities.What We’re Looking For: * Minimum 3 years’ buying experience, ideally in food procurement. * Strong negotiation, supplier management, and commercial acumen. * Confident working with international suppliers and understanding global supply chains. * Strong administration and organisational skills with an eye for detail. * Experience in importing, shipping, duties, and customs (beneficial). * Excellent Excel & IT skills; confident handling data and reports. * French or Spanish language skills (advantageous but not essential)
