An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rotational Clinic Nurse Manager to join the Outpatient Directorate. As the Rotational Clinic Nurse Manager, you will support the other clinic nurse managers as required, providing supervision to the nursing team and managing in accordance with Trust policies. You will participate in innovation and evidence-based nursing practice through professional leadership and will work closely with the Outpatient Senior Sister and Matron.

Main duties of the job
* Work alongside the other outpatient clinic nurse managers on a daily basis.
* Have delegated responsibility for the management of one of the outpatient departments including assessment of care needs, development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care.
* Set standards on a shift basis to cover annual leave or absence.
* Act as a credible and professional role model and encourage and empower other staff to develop both personally and professionally.
* Take on the leadership of specific projects as agreed with the Outpatients Senior Sister and Outpatients Matron.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Working with and supporting the other clinic nurse managers on either site (RS & County) managing the department.
* Monitoring and adding to various systems such as Health roster, Empactis, and ESR.
* Facilitate communication within the multi-professional team.
* Ensure patient concerns are addressed and work with the Patient Advisory and Liaison Service (PALS) and patient forums.
* Participate in the resolution of complaints/adverse incidents and implement action plans to prevent re-occurrence.
* Ensure that staff within the department are up to date with their statutory and mandatory training.
* Maintain the Medical Device Matrix reflecting staff competency and education requirements.
* Investigate and respond to incidents and complaints.

Qualifications and experience
* 2 years post-registration experience.
* Experience in the specific area.
* Portfolio of continued professional development.
