Who we’re looking for Role: Senior Consultant Location: Oxford, London, Bristol or Hybrid Business Unit: Commodity Supply Chain Contract: Permanent contract (full or part-time; minimum 0.8FTE) Remuneration: £40-50,000 per annum About you… What you’ll be doing: Senior Consultants are the driving force behind business development and delivery at 3Keel. Senior Consultants are generally expected to have substantial experience & subject matter expertise across a range of relevant responsibilities. In this role you will perform within the role proactively and independently without supervision and take action to deliver complex tasks to a high standard. You may line manage other team members, win new work and serve as a key contact with clients. The important stuff (essential requirements) In-depth knowledge and understanding of forest-risk commodity supply chains, food systems, deforestation and/or corporate policy / regulatory landscape for commodity supply chains. Previous work experience in consultancy; or relevant professional experience for example a FMCG business or an NGO. A strong track record in leading and managing projects/ programmes of work with considerable budgets or complexity. Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of global client-based teams, including senior executives and/or policymakers Experience of working with quantitative and qualitative data; proficient at working with large datasets and presenting complex analyses thoughtfully and effectively. Commercial aptitude and commitment to understanding the needs of clients and developing outputs that deliver high value, with successful track record in winning new work Organised and systematic approach to work. Self-starter and driven; able to deliver quality work at pace and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment. Clear and engaging writing style, excellent verbal communication and the ability to present complex information in a client-friendly way. Adept at supporting colleagues and flexibility to apply skills to different projects and subjects. Other stuff (desirable skills) Expertise in certification and/or regulations relating to forest risk commodity supply chains. International work experience. Previous experience in line management. Data collection, cleaning and management skills. Experience of data analytics, visualisation and practical business intelligence software (e.g. intermediate to advanced MS Excel, MS PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik). Relevant language skills (e.g. Bahasa, French, German, Portuguese or Spanish). Above all else, we are looking for a great new member for our team. The thematic focus area for this particular business unit at 3Keel is on key forest-risk and other commodity supply chains. Business unit staff carry out a wide range of different projects to help clients understand the sustainability risks associated with their global sourcing of commodities, develop strategies to improve sustainability and track and communicate their progress. The Commodity Supply Chains business unit also facilitates a number of coalitions aiming to drive wider progress across the sector, for soy, oil palm, cocoa and seafood. The approximate annual revenue for this area of the business is expected to be over £2m for this financial year, which has grown substantially over the past five years and with plans for further steady growth.
