OCU Group are currently looking for an Electrical Site Supervisor to lead and supervise our team based in North Wales. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. You will lead a team of electricians and technicians, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Duties and Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of electricians and technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure work is completed to high standards and within deadlines. Allocate resources, assign tasks, and monitor progress to optimise productivity and efficiency in delivering electrical services. Project Coordination: Coordinate electrical projects, including installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities, from planning and scheduling to execution and completion. Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines, and ensure alignment with project objectives. Technical Oversight: Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical systems, equipment, and installations, and assist team members in troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Review engineering designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and client requirements. Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations related to electrical operations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash protection, and electrical safety standards. Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices on-site. Quality Assurance and Control: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to monitor workmanship, materials, and compliance with technical specifications and industry standards. Conduct quality inspections, audits, and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure customer satisfaction. Training and Development: Provide training, mentoring, and development opportunities to electricians and technicians to enhance their technical skills, safety awareness, and job performance. Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and teamwork within the electrical team. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work activities, including job orders, work permits, test reports, and equipment documentation. Prepare and submit progress reports, project updates, and performance metrics to management and stakeholders as required. Skills and Experience: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in electrical installation or electrical engineering is required. Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP) certification is essential. Extensive experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work, with a focus on high voltage systems and equipment. Proven track record of supervisory or leadership experience in managing teams of electricians or technicians in the electrical utilities, construction, or engineering sector. Strong technical knowledge of electrical principles, equipment, and safety regulations, including earthing systems, insulation coordination, and protection schemes.
