Interested in how consumer surveys are designed and created?
Do you have a keen eye for detail?
If yes, then our Survey Creation and Delivery role could be just what you’re looking for.
The Role
This role sits within our Measurement team. The team creates and administers consumer surveys designed to measure media usage, attitudes and behaviours. The data collected is used by TRP Research to help our clients make evidence based strategic and tactical decisions. We run several consumer panels including trpsurveys.com, surveypraeg.com, panelcyfryngau.cymru, and mediaopinionsireland.ie.
You’ll be working in a busy environment with daily and weekly deadlines so it’s important you feel comfortable prioritising and working in a time pressured way. Having good written and verbal communication skills is also key as you’ll be working closely with the wider Measurement team to ensure overall team deadlines and goals are met. As well as using Excel, you’ll be using our survey software, EFS from Tivian. It would be great if you have prior experience of using Tivian’s EFS or a similar survey software package, but it’s not a problem if you don’t as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
1. Online survey creation using EFS, Tivian’s survey tool
2. Updating daily and weekly surveys and conducting checks
3. Uploading new TV and Radio schedules – weekly and daily where applicable
4. Providing HTML for the surveys – both copying from Excel files and writing your own
5. Survey sends and exports/administration
6. Creating data tables and client reports
7. Supporting the wider Measurement team day to day
Our in-house training and Development Scheme will support you on your TRP journey. Current team members have developed from similar positions to senior positions within TRP.
Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone who has:
1. A good understanding of the Microsoft Office package, in particular Word and Excel
2. The ability to manage their own workload and the adaptability to be able to re-prioritise to accommodate wider team needs
3. Strong written and verbal communication
4. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to demonstrate this through previous data checking and proofreading experience
5. Basic understanding of survey design principles and ideally some experience of conducting research or surveys
6. HTML coding skills (this is desirable but not essential)
7. Coding skills in other programming languages - e.g. Python, VBA, etc. (again, this is desirable but not essential)
Characteristics
We’re looking for someone who:
1. Is hardworking, enthusiastic and approachable
2. Is adaptable and able to manage their time well, even when priorities change
3. Works well as part of a team. There will be times when everyone has to work together to complete a task or achieve a goal
4. Enjoys routine tasks
5. Can follow clear instructions and use their initiative when required
6. Is keen to develop
