Job Description Purpose of the role To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and staying informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions. Accountabilities Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters. Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks. Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines. Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions. Join Barclays in the role of Equity Finance Funding Trader where you will work as part of the global funding team across 3 regions to fund both the regional and global book as well as contribute to the optimisation of cash and collateral across different product streams. This role will be based at 1 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London. Essential skills: Educated to min 2:1 degree standard. Maths background preferred Quant & coding skills. Excel/VBA/Excel based coding/Access Ability to work under pressure and deliver results Prior Front & middle office experience and exposure to equities & repo Secured funding, collateral optimization & Synthetic trader working out of the London office Work as part of the global funding team across 3 regions to fund both the regional & global book Involvement in the management of liquidity and optimizing global equity related products out of EMEA time zone Contributing to the optimisation of cash & collateral across different product streams. Oversee the development of quant models and derivatives pricers used in the secured funding space. Using derivatives and cash repo/SBL to achieve P&L and to optimize the financial resource metrics for the firm such as balance sheet and liquidity risk Working closely with the global traders to manage and optimize the post trade flow of funding and collateral trades Find resolutions to complex flows and streamline desk trading activity Desirable skills: Attention to detail Team player Ability to think outside the box and should look to improve process with new tools or set up changes This role is regulated the FCA.
