Teaching Assistant (Level 4) Start date: Immediate Part Time 14 hours per week Tue 9.30-3.30pm, Wed 9.30-3.30pm, Thur 9.30-12.30pm Chadsgrove School Support Services is seeking to appoint an inspiring and highly motivated Level 4 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The post will involve working within the Physical Disabilities Outreach Team. This is an excellent opportunity for you to be part of a very forward thinking, innovative, and fast paced team, sharing a passion for continually raising standards and increasing opportunities for the pupils that we support in our mainstream partnership schools. You will need to be able to communicate and work effectively with our mainstream schools, offering support and advice to help enable them to support their pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. You will be expected to work and liaise with a wide range of professionals including: Teachers (from various services: Learning Support, CCN, Sensory Impairments, EYs Inclusion etc.), Educational Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Nursing/ Medical teams. You will also need an ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage your own diary to ensure all work requested is completed in a timely and effective manner. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential. The role will involve (but is not limited to): Delivering and setting up of equipment for pupils in Worcestershire. Visiting settings to check and review equipment loaned to pupils. Accompanying specialist teacher to initial visit following a new referral and contributing to the triage assessment process. Logging new referrals received onto the ‘new referral’ spreadsheet. Participating in weekly / monthly team meetings. Accompanying specialist teacher on an initial home visits for Nursery pupils if required (i.e. not yet in setting). Following initial input and triage alongside the specialist teacher, managing a caseload of nursery pupils, monitoring and supporting settings with input from specialist teachers as required. Ensuring visit notes are completed regularly and any issues are flagged to the relevant specialist teacher. Contributing to any reports that the team is asked to provide to settings or LEA. Following up pupils known to the service but who have not had recent contact. Visiting / contacting settings to request an update and confirm that no input is required. Carrying out any actions arising or alerting the specialist teacher if their input is needed.
