Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Operator to join our team in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and ensuring the efficient production of goods.
Job Purpose:
* To carry out Dispensing & Blending within the manufacturing department to support new and existing processes to achieve world class manufacturing standards in which personal accountability, responsibility, development of people, structured training and continual improvement are expected and delivered.
* Support the Manufacturing Leader with the development of the team and delivering the company strategic plan; utilise lean manufacturing tools and techniques to improve all areas of the process.
* To support the business goals in achieving and sustaining ISO22716/9001, COSMOS, Soil Association and BRCSG Accreditations.
Reporting Relationships:
* Reports to Manufacturing Leader.
* Close liaison with Engineering to ensure speedy resolution of any manufacturing equipment issues.
* Liaise with Warehouse relating to raw materials.
* Liaise with Production relating to bulk liquids.
Job Context & Scope:
* Reports to Manufacturing Leader as above.
* Close liaison with Engineering and wider Business to ensure decisions that are made are correct and implementation supports the business Goals and Objectives.
* Role is critical for success of Group55, planning of Manufacturing will be based on best use of equipment, with the goal on achieving plan and budget.
* Understand time and the criticality of it within our business.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
* Demonstrates ability to work alone or as part of a wider team.
* Ensure you effectively deliver achievement of the manufacturing plan on time in full.
* Demonstrate habitual behaviour consistent with the core competencies, processes, and CANDO attitude.
* Deliver RFT batches ensuring procedures are followed.
* Carry out batch testing including pH, viscosity, colour, odour and appearance after competency training.
* You must comply with legal, regulatory, and other standards as directed by the line management or the business.
* Adherence to all legal requirements, Company H&S Policy, Risk Assessments, COSHH & procedures i.e., weekly safety checks, disinfection, mandatory training.
* Comply with individual training and procedures as planned by your department Supervisor.
* Attend regular performance reviews and completion of required actions supporting documentation – both informal and formal.
* Have the ability to work with Manufacturing Leader & Technical Team to support NPD & scale up. Record and supply data effectively.
* Ownership of your own workload and responsibilities, from picking raw materials right through until batch testing and micro sampling.
* Understanding Hygiene of the area yourself and all equipment is critical to success, Clean as you go policy to be maintained as well as following current or new GMP requirements.
* Shows enthusiasm for your work through their acceptance of innovation and their contribution and participation in its implementation.
* Seeks opportunities to conserve energy, cost, and waste at all times.
* Contributes during discussions sharing his/her own views whilst actively listening and respecting the views of others.
* Able to follow weekly plan and adhere to this to meet the demands of the manufacturing team’s customer. Able to react where necessary and communicate issues in a timely manner.
* If a problem occurs, have input to problem solving manufacturing related issues.
* Understand the need to work cleanly and effectively, returning materials to warehouse in a cleaned and sealed state.
* To report any defects or changes to equipment to the engineering team.
* Become proficient in the use of all equipment related to your role department, whether this is in the weighing mixing or testing area. Ensure compliance and sign off on all equipment used.
