Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Component Engineer to join our new site in Wellingborough. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all components meet the required specifications and performance standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering principles and a passion for problem-solving.
Responsibilities
* Define new component master data and setup in the system
* Define the components of NPI products (based on customer information/golden samples/manufacturing BOM/operational process), create BOM and setup in the system with change/consumption rates
* Maintain and update Material Master and BOMs
* Support the procurement team by the sourcing process, describe the technical parameters and validate the samples
* Handling of Engineer change notifications
* Follow component life cycle and register in the system (EOL, LTB)
* Support Purchasing and Planning from technical side
* Create and analyse component technical specifications/datasheets
* Suggestion of alternative components/solutions
* Technical support of material cost saving projects, yearly material tenders
* Palettization instructions for operation
* Work together with QA department, define the incoming inspection rules, support the non-conformity analysation
Skills
* Strong experience and knowledge of SAP.
* Degree or diploma in an engineering field
* High level experience and knowledge of Excel - Macros, Pivot tables
