Our client is a designer of high-quality MEP systems, providing a first-class service across a diversity of industry sectors including Healthcare, Residential, and Commercial. This organisation is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the industry to join their expanding Glasgow office. This company has a low staff turnover rate and provides you with the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging, high-end multi-million pound projects.
Your new role + What you'll need to succeed:
1. You will be joining the practice as a senior engineer. You will have previous working experience within the UK/Ireland at another building services consultancy.
2. Lead the delivery of mechanical services scope of work across multiple projects, as part of a world-class Building Services design team.
3. Carry out any or all stages of mechanical design from concept to completion as required by the project.
4. Lead the preparation of enquiries for potential major projects.
5. Lead an M&E design team where required.
6. Report on project performance to principal engineer.
7. Carry out technical design reviews/critiques of projects in progress.
8. Support the design planning, resourcing and fee planning of specific project teams.
9. Perform specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
10. Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
11. Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
