Graduate Tax Analyst Based: Virginia Water, UK Hybrid working The European Tour group is one of the world’s pre-eminent golf organisations. About the role: We have an exciting new Graduate Tax Analyst role available in our growing internal Tax team. In this role, you’ll focus on direct tax, making it an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain valuable experience, broaden their skill set, and become a trusted tax advisor within the group. Under the supervision of the Tax Manager, this role will offer extensive support to the business, which organises tournaments across various international locations. The European Tour group maintains a global tax presence in multiple countries. Key Responsibilities: Compliance: Assisting the Tax Manager in monitoring the group’s overall tax position, ensuring compliance, and accurately forecasting tax payments for budgeting purposes. Assisting the Tax Manager with claims and elections, such as capital allowances and research and development. Assisting with Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) submissions and interactions with HMRC and other tax authorities. Assisting with the implementation of the group’s Transfer Pricing policy and preparing Transfer Pricing documentation and tax journals. Working with external advisors to prepare and submit Corporation Tax returns both in the UK and overseas. Responsible for maintaining monthly Corporation Tax and Withholding Tax on revenue balance sheet reconciliations. Supporting the Tax Manager in addressing tax queries from various parts of the business and external entities such as tax authorities. Responsible for managing and monitoring the tax team budget. Internal Control: Identify opportunities for process improvements within our ERP and other systems, driving positive change in collaboration with the business systems team. Assist with review and maintenance of direct tax compliance process controls and guides for the wider group. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: A degree in finance or an equivalent qualification is required. Studying towards an accounting/ tax qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CTA) or have a desire to do so. Ability to use excel with regards to data analysis. Well organised and willing to challenge themselves, with the ability to work independently. Willing to challenge the status quo and help develop new ways of working. Understand general accounting principles and good commercial awareness.
