Steer Automotive Group is known for its high-quality automotive repair services, and as we continue to grow, we’re excited to welcome an experienced MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician to our state-of-the-art Bodyshop in Cheltenham.
About the Role:
As an MET Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components on various vehicles, including electric and hybrid models. Your expertise will ensure top-quality repairs, helping our customers get back on the road quickly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
13. Carry out mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment
14. Dismantle vehicles to prepare them for panel work
15. Perform inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostics
16. Manage replacement part orders and inventories
17. Reassemble vehicles with new components, restoring them to pre-accident condition
18. Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards
19. Communicate effectively with the team regarding repair progress
About You:
You’re a skilled MET Technician with solid experience in accident repair. You maintain high standards, work well under pressure, and are committed to delivering outstanding results.
Qualifications and Skills:
20. Proven experience as an MET Technician, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles
21. Expertise in ADAS, wheel alignment, mechanical repairs, and diagnostic tools
22. Ability to handle workloads efficiently and meet deadlines
23. Strong attention to detail and adherence to manufacturer specifications
24. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
25. A flexible, customer-focused approach
26. Dedication to Health & Safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe workspace
