Whether you're experienced or new to education, we want to hear from you Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and build confidence in a safe and structured environment. Working closely with teachers and SEN coordinators, you will provide essential classroom support, assist in developing learning plans, and help students engage, grow, and succeed. Key Responsibilities: ✔ Build positive and trusting relationships with students. ✔ Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs. ✔ Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans. ✔ Support students in managing behaviour and emotions in a structured environment. ✔ Encourage participation and engagement in classroom activities. ✔ Help students develop essential social and life skills. ✔ Assist during breaks, lunches, and classroom preparation as required. ✔ Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times. What We're Looking For: ✅ Experience working with children or young people (SEND/SEMH experience is a plus, but all levels of experience will be considered). ✅ A compassionate and patient approach with strong communication skills. ✅ Ability to motivate and inspire students facing challenges in education. ✅ Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. ✅ A proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset. ✅ Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work (desirable but not essential).
