Overview & Purpose of the Role
As an HR Officer, you will play a crucial role in implementing and managing HR policies and procedures. You will provide professional HR support, contribute to strategic planning, and ensure compliance with employment laws. Additionally, you will support recruitment, training, and employee development while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Compliance
1. Provide HR support and advice across the organization.
2. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
3. Maintain accreditations (e.g., ISO9001) and HRIS systems.
4. Manage employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Recruitment & Onboarding
1. Draft and review job descriptions and recruitment adverts.
2. Conduct interviews and manage hiring processes.
3. Prepare contracts and conduct employee inductions.
4. Maintain applicant tracking systems and support recruitment administration.
Employee Development & Performance
1. Support training programs and monitor probationary reviews.
2. Track performance appraisals and employee statistics.
3. Promote learning and development initiatives.
4. Assist with coordinating training schedules and materials.
Employee Engagement & Relations
1. Manage HR Satisfaction Surveys and analyze feedback.
2. Advise on HR and employment law matters.
3. Organize social events and employee engagement activities.
4. Support disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring compliance.
Role Requirements
Education & Experience
1. 2+ years’ HR experience in manufacturing.
2. GCSEs (including English & Maths) or equivalent.
3. CIPD part-qualified or working towards certification.
4. Experience with HRIS and employee records management.
5. Knowledge of employment law, recruitment, and training best practices.
6. Previous experience in performance management and employee relations.
Technical Expertise
1. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
2. Familiarity with HR software and data management tools.
3. Ability to generate reports and analyze HR metrics.
4. Strong understanding of ISO standards and compliance.
5. Skilled in administrative tasks such as data entry, document management, and scheduling.

1. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Experience handling staff queries and supporting HR projects.
4. Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
