Joining our team on a part time basis, you will be working 24 hours over 3 days per week.

Cygnet Wallace Hospital:
Situated in a residential area of Dundee, Cygnet Wallace Hospital is a 10 bed specialist high dependency complex care service providing assessment and treatment for individuals with learning disabilities, with or without autistic spectrum disorder, as well as complex needs and behaviours. The team can also support those who have additional mental or physical health needs, as well as those who have been detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act. We accept emergency referrals and the team are experienced in managing them quickly and efficiently to ensure transition for service users is as smooth as possible.
Your Day-to-Day...
1. You'll be working 24 hours a week
2. Work as a team Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
3. Carry out psychological assessments & provide therapy to individuals & groups
4. Collaboratively develop care plans with the MDT
5. Provide training & supervision to colleagues, & consultation to teams
6. Evaluate the service, contribute to its development & carry out clinical research
7. Disseminate outcomes via conference presentations and publications.
We are looking for someone who is...
1. A HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist with experience in a clinical forensic or mental health setting
2. Experience of working within a Learning Disabilities Service
3. Preferably trained in complex therapies such as Schema focused, Cognitive Analytical and DBT
4. Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs
5. Capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, physical & verbal aggression, history of sexual offending and drug & alcohol problems.
