Job summary The post-holder will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operational management of the Hillingdon Hospital Urgent and Emergency Care services. These comprise the Urgent Treatment Centre, Emergency Department and Same Day Emergency Care venues. This position involves working closely with the service management team, clinical and non-clinical teams to achieve service objectives and improve patient outcomes. Main duties of the job There will be an element of line management for the Urgent and Emergency Care nonclinical staff. The role will provide effective leadership to the team, supporting them to ensure administrative duties are completed effectively, the service rotas are maintained to a high standard, having oversight of any staffing issues, and escalating to the relevant Service Managers. The Assistant Service Manager will be required to liaise with service managers and clinical leads to ensure that performance and access targets are met, identifying areas for improvement. They will also need to work with data and data quality to complete timely data submissions and assist in the production specific service reports.
