2. Salary: £27,347 – £38,101 per annum, pro rata (dependant on skills, qualifications and experience)

Lecturer in Music – The role:
9. Start: September 2024
10. Permanent contract
11. Full-time
12. Responsible to: Curriculum Co-ordinator
13. Teaching and assessing Level 2 & 3 Music Performance & Production courses.
14. Creating and implementing engaging schemes of learning and lesson plans.
15. Organising and arranging live events such as gigs, shows, or exhibitions.
16. Utilising DAWs like Logic or similar software in your teaching.
17. Supporting students with their UCAS applications and career guidance.
18. Collaborating with the community on live projects and external events.
19. Organising study trips and enrichment activities.
20. Contributing to the department’s quality standards in terms of retention, attendance, success rates, progression, final grades, and value added.
Candidate specification – What the College are looking for:
21. UK QTS
22. NQTs are welcome to apply
23. 2:1 or 1st class degree, in a relevant course
24. Strong academic background
25. Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS
26. Good to Outstanding teacher observation grades
27. Strong classroom management
28. A degree or higher technical qualification in Music Performance, Production, or a related field.
29. A relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one).
30. Experience working with Logic or similar DAWs.
31. A track record of organising and arranging live events.
32. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
33. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to student enrichment and pastoral care.
34. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to maintaining high standards
