Are you a commercially minded finance professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? As a Commercial Analyst at Serco, you will play a critical role in supporting our UK & Europe Commercial team, providing financial and strategic guidance on new business opportunities. You will be responsible for high-quality financial modelling, analysing cost inputs, and delivering insightful reports to inform bid strategies and governance forums. This is a key opportunity to contribute to high-profile bids across our Transport & Community Services (TCS) business unit.

As part of this you’ll:
* Review draft contracts and specifications, identify potential gaps or misalignments in costed solutions, and propose clarifications questions to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
* Participate in governance sessions and providing an assessment of the commercial and contractual risks of bids.
* Assist in the formulation of negotiation strategies for bids, post contract matters (including disputes).
* Participate in customer discussions and commercial negotiations to ensure Serco’s position is protected.
* Assist senior commercial leaders in refining commercial governance and business processes to support strategic decision-making.
* Support the education and capability development of colleagues within the UK & Europe Commercial team by sharing expertise in commercial awareness and bid strategies.
What you’ll need to do the role:
* Demonstrable track record of successful involvement in bidding and winning in a competitive environment, preferably within public sector and/or outsourcing industries.
* A degree in law or business would be advantageous, providing a strong foundation in commercial, regulatory, and contractual considerations.
* Knowledge of TUPE.
* Track record of successfully operating company governance processes applied to complex sales opportunities.
* Thoroughness and attention to detail with a steadiness under pressure.
* Excellent analytical skills with ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate key messages simply and effectively to stakeholders.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Effective communication skills with ability to build strong, working relationships at all levels.
